I'm a UX/UI designer based in Tacoma, Washington.
I try understand the "why" to ask the "right questions" to ensure that I'm creating the "right" experiences for users.
I have worked as a UX developer for Red Hat and a UX researcher for SAS.
When I'm not working, I continue that mindset with creating and guiding experiences with my daughter by understanding the "why" of her behavior and asking the "right" questions so that learning music, languages, athletics, and academics is FUN.
I graduated with a Computer Science degree and an Engineering Degree from North Carolina State University. Through a variety of employment connected through the university, I learned agile & waterfall SDLC methodologies for both large and small projects. I learned all aspects of the SDLC from software engineer, business analyst, QA, and product owner and to understand the perspectives to best liase between the business and the technology side.
As UX began to mature, I realized that it really fell within my passion to focus on the best user experience to deliver the best business outcomes. In other words, the UX Design field is being a creative business analyst, which is a perfect fit for me. I should be graduating shortly and hope to find employment in the UX area.
